Durak uses a 36 card deck to play, with each suit awarded a different ranking, from Ace to 6. The game can be played with 2 to 6 players, and the game starts proper once each player receives 6 cards. Then, a card is played at the centre of the table, and the suit decides the card trumps.
As more of the deck is upturned to reveal a card, players continue to match their own hand to the table. Once a player has gotten rid of all of their cars, they are crowned the winner. Unlike other games, Durak PRO keeps playing until all but one player has cleared their cards. The unlucky loser is crowned the 'Fool' or 'Durak'.
There's 3 different versions of the game packaged into this Durak PRO game app from TruelogicGames. Players can choose from classic Durak, 'throwing in' Durak, or 'transfer Durak'. With this app, up to 4 individual players can participate at any one time, making it an ideal party game or time-killer if you're stuck on transport.
It's easy to get started too. Players can brush up on their card play basics with the in-built instructions and tutorials, while the easy controls and touchscreen-friendly design make it ideal for smartphones and tablets. If you're playing against the computer, you'll be surprised at just how taxing the harder difficulty levels can be, with intuitive AI to put even the most practiced player through their paces.
If you've scored big at Durak, your achievements will be uploaded to the online league table for everyone to see. You can play against card fans from cross the world, with instant play and tournaments putting you in touch with immediately available players, whatever the time of day. If you'd prefer to take on a specific someone, this app lets you invite friends to play against you in private rooms whenever both of you have an available internet connection.
